GPSSA Contribution Rates
The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) collects monthly contributions from UAE nationals employed in the private sector.
Contribution breakdown:
Employee: 5% of basic salary
Employer: 12.5% of basic salary (private sector)
Total: 17.5% per month
Important: GPSSA contributions apply to UAE nationals only. Expatriate employees are not enrolled in GPSSA and do not make these contributions. Instead, expats are entitled to end-of-service gratuity upon leaving employment.
Example: Basic salary AED 15,000:
Employee contribution: AED 750/month
Employer contribution: AED 1,875/month
Total: AED 2,625/month
